Our Story
We built Misread for the parts of golf nobody talks about.
I've been playing golf for 5 years. I'm a 6 handicap. Some days I play like a scratch golfer. Other days I play like a 20.
For a long time that bothered me. I chased the perfect shot every single time. I expected consistency that doesn't exist. I thought if I just practiced enough, focused enough, tried hard enough, I could eliminate the imperfection.
I couldn't. Nobody can.
That's not a failure. That's golf. That's life.
Every brand in golf sells you the highlight reel. The clean contact. The made putt. The perfect round. They market to the golfer you wish you were.
Misread was built for the golfer you actually are.
The one who shoots a 68 on Saturday and an 84 on Sunday. The one who hits the range alone at 7pm trying to figure it out. The one who three-putts 18 and can't wait to come back.
I started Misread at 15 because we wanted to build something that stands for more than clothing. A reminder that perfection is just a fantasy. That imperfection isn't something to fix, it's something to commit to.
Because the golfers who keep showing up anyway, the ones who embrace the misreads, the mishits, the bad rounds, those are the most interesting people in the game.
